[OPLINLIST] Cost savings

It might be interesting to start a thread on some of the ways libraries 
are cutting costs. If we keep the ideas to "generic" ones that other 
libraries could benefit from, that would be the most useful.

For instance, some of the schools I've worked with have replaced their 
light switches with motion detector switches. After a preset amount of 
inactivity in the room (maybe 10 minutes), the lights automatically turn 
off. At perhaps $30 per switch, it wouldn't take terribly long to recoup 
the cost and start saving money.
