Subject: ALA Contest
Dear Ms. McDevitt-Stedney,
My name is Brooke Edwards-Plant and I am the Digital Outreach
Coordinator at WomansDay.com. I wanted to let you know about our annual
ALA Contest: "Why is your library important to your community?" From now
thru May 9th, women ages 18 and up are asked to send us stories
illustrating their library's contribution to the community. Up to 4
stories will be included in the March 2011 issue of Woman's Day or at
WomansDay.com. Visitors to your site can easily click on Woman's Day ALA
Contest
<http://www.womansday.com/Content/Family-Lifestyle/ALA-Contest-Info-Rule
s> for all the contest information and rules.
I have also included the article: How the Public Library Can Save You
Money
<http://www.womansday.com/Articles/Family-Lifestyle/How-the-Public-Libra
ry-Can-Save-You-Money.html> , which would be an excellent addition to
your website, and, in these tough economic times, a means of encouraging
people to use their local public library. Take a look at the links and
let me know your thoughts!
Please email me at your earliest convenience if you have any additional
questions. I look forward to hearing from you!
Sincerely,
Brooke Edwards-Plant
