Greetings!
Time is running out for you or a fellow staff member to register for
OHIONET’s hands-on workshop, *The e-Book Flood: Is Your Library Ready?** *It's
here--the eBook and eReader flood of software, hardware, and digitized
books. The question remains: Is your library ready? In times of budget
stress, effectively allocating money toward this technology can be confusing
with all the formats and devices floating around. Take this hands-on class
to learn the basics of this revolution in reading! We'll play with, utilize,
and talk about the tools--both hardware and software--available to your
library when making the leap. Devices provided for practice in this class
include:
- Android Phone
- Amazon Kindle
- Sony eReader
- Apple iPad
*When:* Thursday, August 26th, 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
*Where:* OHIONET
*Cost:* $80 (members); $120 (non-members)
Please see the following link for the full workshop description and to
register online: http://www.ohionet.org/training-calendar/659
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask. Have a great day!
Sincerely,
Evan
