Subject: [OPLINLIST] Summer Reading Program survey (and LYS list)
As your library wraps up its Summer Reading Program, please remember to
complete the SRP evaluation survey
<http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/srpeval2010> . The survey will be open
until September 3, but get yours in early - as soon as you have your
numbers together - and you won't have to think about it again!
It'll be terrific to have 100% participation by Ohio public libraries,
so we can learn how many children, teens, and adults statewide took part
in a library SRP. Thank you to the 34 libraries that have completed the
survey to date.
A few notes:
* Please complete the survey whether you used the CSLP theme (Make
a Splash - Read! / Make Waves / Water Your Mind) or created your own
theme.
* Please complete the survey if your library does not offer a SRP,
or offers one only for certain ages or groups.
* One response per library system is requested. If individual
library outlets within your system managed their own programs and the
numbers aren't tracked/compiled systemwide, each outlet may complete the
survey. Do whichever makes more sense in your situation and requires
the least extra work.
* When you have your registration/completion numbers in hand, the
survey will take only 5 minutes!
Here is the survey: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/srpeval2010.
This information is cross-posted to the Library Youth Services e-list
hosted by the State Library. If your library doesn't have at least one
youth services representative subscribed to this list, please join us to
make sure you receive information about upcoming CSLP themes, Ohio Ready
to Read, grant and professional development opportunities, and more, of
interest to children's and teen librarians. All library folks with an
interest in youth services are welcome to subscribe. See
http://library.ohio.gov/youthservices/youth_services_listserv for
instructions.
Please email me if you have any questions. Thanks,
Janet
