Greetings!

Please mark your calendars:

Critically acclaimed novelist and Detroit native Michael Zadoorian will be
visiting the main branch of the Tuscarawas County Public Library (121 Fair
Avenue in New Philadelphia) on Thursday, July 22nd at 7PM.

Zadoorian is the author of Second Hand (2000), The Leisure Seeker (2009),
and a recently published collection of short stories, The Lost Tiki Palaces
of Detroit. His writing has appeared in such publications as The North
American Review, American Short Fiction, and the Beloit Fiction Journal.
Zadoorian's most recent novel, The Leisure Seeker, which follows an
eighty-something couple on a defiant road trip to Disneyland, has been
optioned by Jeffrey Sharp, the film producer responsible for Boys Don't Cry
and You Can Count on Me.

During the program, Zadoorian, who still works as a copywriter in the
Detroit area, will talk about his personal and professional journey as a
novelist, as well as the life experiences that have influenced his works.
The author will also be available to sign copies of The Leisure Seeker,
which will be available for purchase, after the program concludes.

Admission to the event is free. The New Philadelphia Friends of the Library
will be providing refreshments.
