Jack - one of the best college courses I took at OSU (many years ago)
was Slavic 130: The Vampire in Eastern European and American Culture.
Looks like Dr. Daniel Collins teaches it. See
http://cfs.osu.edu/courses/syllabi/slavic130.cfm for more info.

Subject: [OPLINLIST] Vampire program

Dear Library Staffers,

I am looking to do a vampire program for teens and
adults here at the London Public Library. Does anyone have any ideas or
suggestions or know of any good speakers? Perhaps an academic speaker
who can discuss the history of vampires in folklore or even an actual
vampire organization in Central Ohio?
