[OPLINLIST] Naming Rights/Donations

Hello All,

The board here is interested in drafting a policy that would outline various
donation levels and what kind of recognition an individual or group could
expect to receive in return. For example, anyone donating $25,000 or more
could expect to have a room named in his or her honor.

Does anyone out there have a policy similar to this one? If not, how do you
typically handle requests by donors to have rooms, furniture, equipment,
etc. named in their honor even if the particular room, piece of furniture,
piece of equipment, etc. was not directly purchased with that donor's funds?
In short, we are looking to create a policy that gives us a framework for
accepting or denying requests by donors to have things named in their honor.

Thanks in advance.
