OPLIN in collaboration with the State Library and the Regional Library
Systems will once again be hosting E-rate workshops for Ohio public
libraries. The workshops will be presented by Lorrie Germann, State
E-Rate Coordinator, eTech Ohio and Steve Crumbacher, Educational
Technology Consultant, eTech Ohio . Workshop participants are
generally expected to sign up for both sessions but this is not
required.

The first session, Monday, November 8, will provide an overview of the
E-rate process, specific requirements for the upcoming funding year and
a line-by-line review of the Form 470, the first step in the application
process. This session will start at 9:30 and end about 3:00.
Registration will begin at 9:00.

The second session, Thursday December 16, will offer a line-by-line
review and analysis of the filing of the E-rate Form 471, the actual
application for discounts on eligible services. This session will start
at 9:30 and end about noon. Registration will begin at 9:00.

Lorrie and Steve will be presenting the workshop in person at the State
Library, but it will also be available via videoconference across the
state. Remote locations are: Wellston, Caldwell, Warren, North
Ridgeville, Madison, Wooster, Bowling Green, and Franklin.
