The Ohioana Library Association <http://www.ohioana.org/> is hosting
the 5th annual Ohioana Book Festival <http://ohioanabookfestival.org/>
on Saturday, May 7 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in Columbus. This is a
don't-miss, free, day-long celebration of books, reading, writing,
readers, and writers.
Over 100 Ohio authors will be on hand for readings and panel
discussions, to sign their books and talk with attendees. Featured
authors include:
J. Patrick Lewis and Tim Bowers (First Dog's White House Christmas)
Ted Gup (A Secret Gift: How One Man's Kindness - And a Trove of Letters
- Revealed the Hidden Story of the Great Depression)
Andrea Cheng (Only One Year)
Sandy Plunkett (The World of a Wayward Comic Book Artist)
Maggie Smith (The List of Dangers)
Carrie Bebris (The Intrigue at Highbury (Or, Emma's Match))
Robert Greer (First of State)
Bev Shaffer (Cakes to Die For)
and Lisa Black (Trail of Blood).
The festival includes the presentation and recognition of the Ohioana
Robert Fox Awards for Young Writers and Poetry Out Loud Competition.
Fun activities for children will be ongoing throughout the day. Barnes
& Noble will have books by all the participating authors available for
sale. Food will be available to purchase. Festival partner
organizations will staff display tables. Look for the Choose to Read

win a book by an Ohio author!
Please note that this year, the festival is moving to the beautiful Fort
