[OPLINLIST] Reference By Appointment

We are thinking of adding one on one reference appointments to our list of services.  I am getting mixed results in my research and thought I would ask for others experiences.  Has anyone implemented reference appointments in your library or thought about adding them and decided against it?  Also, if you currently are using reference appointments, what is your procedure?  Thank you for your thoughts.
