Branch Clerk II - Grade 2 (Full-time position)


Hervey Memorial Library, Utica, OH

 

Under the general supervision of the Branch Supervisor, the person in
this position works at the Hervey Memorial Library to assist patrons in
borrowing and using library materials, services, and equipment;
maintains computer database records; and, performs other clerical and
processing duties at the branch as assigned.

 

This is a full-time position - 37.5 hours per week, 75 hours per pay
period.  The successful candidate will be scheduled to work days and/or
evenings, Monday through Saturday, with a daily unpaid meal-break at the
discretion of the branch supervisor of 30 or 60 minutes.  The successful
candidate, if needed, could be required to work additional hours on
Sundays at the Newark Library.

Pay Rate

The pay for this position starts at $9.2837/hour - Grade 2, Step A. The
Library's fringe benefit package is also available to the successful
candidate.

 

Probationary Period

The first 6 months in this position are considered probationary in
nature.  The successful applicant's performance will be reviewed at 6
months.  If the employee's performance is not satisfactory, the employee
can be terminated or the probationary period may be extended for a
maximum of three more months, if, in the opinion of the Library, it
seems the employee needs more time to show they can perform at the
expected level.  If the employee's performance is still not satisfactory
at the end of this second probationary period, their employment with the
Library will be terminated.
