Position:                               Reference/Adult Services
Assistant

Position Status:                   Part-time/Up to 29.5 hours per week
(will include evening and weekend hours)

 

Immediate Supervisor:     Reference Librarian/Adult Services Coordinator

 

Pay Range:                           9.50-13.50 per hour (based on
education and experience) 

Job Qualifications:             - At least two years college or two
years relevant library experience 

                                                -Accurate keyboarding
and data entry at 30 wpm.

                                    -Basic computer skills

-Experience working with the public preferred

 

 

Position Description:                   

This employee will be assigned to the Reference/Adult Services
department of the main library in New Lexington.  Duties include
answering reference questions using the library's print and electronic
resources, including the Internet, databases, and the library's
automated system; assisting patrons using the Internet and the automated
system; planning and implementing library programs for adults; and
assisting customers with software/database/e-Reader usage.
