[OPLINLIST] Do you look up children's card numbers when they do not have them for Internet access?

We have PC Reservation and it requires a library card number. In previous
years we required a library card for use of Internet, or the patron would
have to memorize the number for access. We are recently changing the
procedure for either circulation staff or reference staff to look up the
number for adults if they have identification. If they do not have a
library card we will issue a guest pass. If you look up card number for
children how much must they tell you about their account: address and
telephone number? Is this very time consuming for your staff. Thanks in
advance for responding.
