[OPLINLIST] E-Books

I checked with SEO and unfortunately, they do not offer a la carte pricing for ebooks. This is because patron authentication is required to access ebooks and libraries must be full members of SEO to have patron authentication.

There is a reciprocal borrowing agreement between the SEO ebook collection and the Ohio eBook Project (OEP), so if you join either SEO or OEP, your library will have access to both ebook collections.

The next open enrollment for the OEP will be this summer.

Subject: [OPLINLIST] E-Books

Hello All:
Hope you are all settling into a nice, albeit, snowy, 2011. Does anyone know if SEO is offering an a la carte price to access their e-book collection as they do their ILL program? We are not going to join the SLO E-Book Project at this time, but are looking at other options. We have learned that Barnes and Noble has a program for libraries, so we're checking into this. Anyone out there have a great solution for rural/smaller libraries? We want to start adding them asap.
Best,
Susan
