[OPLINLIST] State Library of Ohio announces special group purchase of AWE Early Learning Stations

The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce Ohio's participation in
a multi-state group purchase of the AWE Early Learning Station (ELS).
For a limited time public libraries will be able to purchase the ELS for
a discounted price.

 

Time Period:

Discounts are available on each ELS purchased between January 15 and
February 28, 2011.  

 

Pricing:

Early Literacy Station - Standard English Edition: $2100 per unit.
Includes 19 inch flatscreen monitor, CPU-loaded with educational
software, colorful keyboard, child-size mouse, and three-year hardware
warranty.

 

Early Literacy Station - Standard Spanish Edition: $2200 per unit.
Includes 19 inch flatscreen monitor, CPU-loaded with educational
software, colorful keyboard, child-size mouse, and three-year hardware
warranty.

Training:

AWE will be presenting a number of free webinars in January and February
to help librarians become more familiar with the ELS. The dates include
January 20, January 25, February 3, February 8, February 10, and

About the Early Literacy Station:

The ELS is specifically designed for children ages 2 through 10. Over
35% of public libraries in the United States have ELS in their
libraries. The ELS includes 50 educational titles that are top rated by
Children's Technology Review. These titles cover seven curricular areas
and are mapped to individual state curriculum standards. The ELS, which
requires no Internet connection, is easy for kids to use and even easier
