POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Library Director
Leetonia Community Public Library
Leetonia, Ohio
The Leetonia Community Public Library is seeking an energetic, service-oriented leader to become the next Library Director. The successful applicant will demonstrate leadership, excellent people skills, the ability to work with staff and patrons, and a vision of what libraries can mean to their communities. The willingness to be active in the community is essential.
The Leetonia Community Public Library is located in Leetonia, a rural community of 6500, a half hour south of Youngstown and serves two villages, three townships, and two counties. The library recently opened a new 13000+ sq. ft. facility and employees a dedicated staff committed to providing excellent service. The library operates with a budget under $300,000.
Qualifications:
MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited program with progressive supervisory or management experience ,
OR
Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight(8) consecutive years of public library experience at manager or director level which has included three(3) years of direct supervision of staff.
Finance and accounting experience will be considered. Experience with the UAN system would be preferred
Salary: Expected full time salary range of $30,000 - 35,000. Dependent upon qualifications and experience. Benefits are offered.
