Greetings!

Please mark your calendars:

Award-winning novelist and Cleveland native Sarah Willis will be visiting
the main branch of the Tuscarawas County Public Library System (121 Fair
Avenue in New Philadelphia) on Thursday, March 31st at 7PM.

Willis' short stories have been published in Book Magazine, the Tampa
Review, and the Our Mothers, Our Selves anthology. Her first novel, 2000's
Some Things That Stay, was listed as a New York Times Notable Book of the
Year. It also won the Stephen Crane Award for First Fiction, was awarded the
Cleveland Arts Prize in Literature, and was made into a movie that was
released in Canada in 2004. Willis' other works include The Rehearsal
(2001), A Good Distance (2004), and The Sound of Us (2005).

During the program, Willis, who is currently at work on her fifth novel,
will talk about her creative approach to the writing process and will
discuss her professional journey as a novelist. A question-and-answer
session with the audience will follow.

The author will sign copies of Some Things That Stay, which will be
available for purchase ($15), after the program concludes.

Admission to the event is free. Registration is required by calling
