[OPLINLIST] KnowItNow24x7 Volunteer Intern Opportunities

KnowItNow24x7 (KIN24x7), Ohio's collaborative statewide virtual reference service, has multiple openings for volunteer interns to assist patrons during daytime and early evening hours. If you're looking to expand your reference and technology skills while at the same time making a valuable contribution to library service in Ohio, this might be an opportunity you want to  consider.

Volunteer Intern Requirements:
- Must have library reference experience (or have taken applicable courses toward MLS/MLIS)
- Must have reliable access to a computer and broadband Internet during internship
- Must be able to download SparkRef virtual reference software client to computer being used for internship
- Must commit to volunteering at least three hours per week during assigned shifts (specific shifts are negotiable)

Benefits include:
- Learning technology and customer skills: Interns will have regular feedback on their session transcripts, both positive encouragement as well as constructive criticism
- Obtaining valuable, real-world virtual reference experience to add to your resume
- Being able to volunteer from home or other remote location
