[OPLINLIST] Position opening: Youth Services Coordinator

The Portsmouth (Ohio) Public Library is looking for a dynamic and creative 
librarian to work with current staff to provide outstanding services to 
library users. The successful candidate will be responsible for directing 
reference services, readers' advisory, and circulation services for 
patrons, staff and community groups; supervising youth services staff to 
ensure that services are provided in an efficient manner; planning and 
implementing staff training as directed; and directing the development and 
presentation of children's programming. This position also oversees 
system-wide collection development and maintenance of juvenile materials.
The successful candidate will have an MLS/MLIS from an accredited ALA 
institution or actively working toward and able to obtain the degree within 
1 year; three to five years experience in a public library setting working 
with children; and a minimum of two years supervisory experience.
