Greetings!

Acclaimed Dayton novelist Katrina Kittle will be visiting the main branch of
the Tuscarawas County Public Library System (121 Fair Avenue in New
Philadelphia) on Thursday, May 19th at 7PM. Her visit marks the second
installment in the library's system's 2011 Author Series program.

Kittle is the author of Traveling Light (2000), Two Truths and a Lie (2001),
The Kindness of Strangers (2006), and The Blessings of the Animals (2010).
The Kindness of Strangers was a BookSenseT pick and the winner of the 2006
Great Lakes Book Award for Fiction. The Blessings of the Animals was an
Indie Next ListT pick and was chosen by the Women's National Book
Association as one of the Ten Great Group Reads for National Book Group
Month (October 2010). Its plot focuses on a small-town veterinarian who
finds solace in the animals she ministers after her husband unexpectedly
leaves her.

Her first young adult novel, Reasons to Be Happy, will be published in the
fall of this year.

Kittle is a graduate of Ohio University and earned her MFA in Creative
Writing from Spalding University. She has taught at Centerville High School,
World of Wonder Charter School, and Miami Valley School. She has also served
on staff at the Antioch Writers' Workshop and currently teaches fiction
workshops at the Word's Worth Writing Center in Dayton.

The author will sign copies of The Blessings of the Animals, which will be
available for purchase ($15), after the program concludes.

Admission to the event is free. Registration is required by calling
330-364-4474.

Thanks for your support - hope some of you can make it!

All best,

Andrea Legg
