Hebron Library- Hebron, Ohio

 


Branch Supervisor - Grade 5 (Full-time)


Hebron Library, 934 W. Main Street, Hebron, OH 43025

 

Under the general supervision of the Head of Branch Services, the person
in this position oversees the day-to-day operations and supervises the
staff of the Hebron Library. This job also includes direct public
service assisting patrons in borrowing and using library materials,
services and equipment, and presenting programs for all age groups.
This person reports directly to the Head of Branch Services.

 

This is a full-time position - 37.5 hours per week, 75 hours per pay
period.  The successful candidate will be required to work days and
evenings, Monday through Saturday, with a daily unpaid meal-break of 30
or 60 minutes.  The successful candidate, if needed, could be required
to work additional hours on Sundays at the Newark Library.  Flexibility
in scheduling is imperative.

Salary

Begins at $13.4928 per hour - Grade 5, Step A.  The Library's fringe
benefit package is also available to the successful candidate.

 

 

Probationary Period

The first 6 months in this position are considered probationary in
nature.  The successful applicant's performance will be reviewed at 6
months. If the employee's performance is not satisfactory, the employee
can be terminated or the probationary period may be extended for a
maximum of 3 more months, if, in the opinion of the Library, it seems
the employee needs more time to show they can perform at the expected
level.  If the employee's performance is still not satisfactory at the
end of this second probationary period, his or her employment with the
Library will be terminated.

filled.  Interviews with qualified applicants will be scheduled at the
convenience of the Library and the applicant so timeliness in applying
is critical.  Priority will be given to applications received by 5:00
pm, Friday, May 20, 2011.
