POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Library Director
Kaubisch Memorial Public Library
Fostoria, Ohio

The Kaubisch Memorial Public Library is seeking an energetic, 
service-oriented leader to become the next Library Director. The 
successful applicant will demonstrate leadership, excellent people 
skills, the ability to work with staff and patrons, and a vision of what 
libraries can mean to their communities. The willingness to be active in 
the community is essential.

The Kaubisch Memorial Public Library is located in Fostoria, a rural 
community of 13,500 an hour south of Toledo.  Recent approval of a 1.5 
mill continuing operating levy by a 76% margin not only provides the 
library financial stability but also demonstrates the library's strong 
community support.  Our experienced staff is dedicated to providing 
excellent customer service.

Qualifications:

    * MLS/MLIS from an ALA accredited program with three (3) years of
      progressive supervisory or management experience, OR

    * Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight (8) consecutive years of
      public library experience at manager or director level which has
      included three (3) years of direct supervision of staff.

Salary:  $55,000 - $65,000, dependent upon qualifications and 
experience.  Excellent benefits are offered.
