[OPLINLIST] Library Procedure

Hello everyone,
What do you do when you suspect that a patron is taking library materials
without checking them out? Furthermore, what if they return them as if they
had checked them out? Does that warrant calling the police, or even
threatening to do so? We're trying to assess what our next step should be.
