[OPLINLIST] changing OPAC computers to internet stations

We are considering converting computers throughout the library that are currently designated OPACS to allow express (15-20 minute) internet access. If you have done this, would you share your experience?



1. Did you convert all of your OPACS to allow free internet access or only some? If you only converted some, was there any confusion about which computers allowed internet usage and which were only the OPAC?



2. Were patrons who needed to use the catalog able to do so right away or did they have to wait because the computers were full of internet users?



3. Were there any unexpected benefits or drawbacks of doing this?
