Position Opening-Wayne County Public Library, Wooster, OH
Manager of Technical Services
Salary: $39,520 - $65,105 depending upon qualifications and experience
Responsibilites: Under general direction, manages department, oversees acquisitions, cataloging and processing, supervises staff, performs original cataloging, scheduling, training and performance evaluations; conducts department meetings; ensures accurate and timely production of acquisitions; cataloging and processing work; recommends staffing levels; works with vendors, develops procedures as needed; fosters communication; participates in planning; administers department budget; prepares reports; participates in management team. Works on system-wide projects as assigned. Serves as WCPL’s liaison to CLEVNET. Maintains and orders supplies and equipment as needed. Improves skills and effectiveness through continuing education; serves as a member of professional organizations as assigned.
Qualifications:  MLS degree and minimum of four (4) years experience in management. Demonstrated ability to take on additional responsibilities successfully and to remain calm under pressure.  Must have excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
