[OPLINLIST] Cataloger position available

The Akron-Summit County Public Library is seeking a full-time Librarian (Cataloger) to:

*        perform original and copy cataloging of AV, monograph and serial records using Dewey, MARC, AACRII, OCLC, LCSH, and Millennium;

*        assign call numbers and subject headings;

*        provide name and title access points;

*        determine information for bibliographic description;

*        assign  MARC tags and codes;

*        provide authority control in the Innovative Interfaces Millennium system by establishing and/or verifying correct MARC subject, name and series headings and appropriate references;

*        in conjunction with the other cataloging librarian and supervisor, train para-professionals and establish workflow;

*        and assist with special projects.
