[OPLINLIST] Require library card for public wireless?

How does it work with e-book readers ? Does it allow for a patron to download an e-book from over drive ? We were using a splash page for our public wireless and found out that some of the e-book readers with e-ink displays and more primitive web browsers could get through the splash page.

We've used SPOT for this purpose for 2 years now and it's wonderful.  Yes
they have to authenticate - but at the same time - they get access to
wireless printing and can use their prepaid library card printing balance
associated with their account (requires the CASSIE module, also available
from Librarica).

Our library restricts internet access based on several criteria (e.g., fines
over $5.00, parent's request) so requiring patrons to authenticate just made
sense.

wireless Internet? If not, is it because you've chosen not to, or because
you don't have any way to do it?

We're about to implement SPOT from Librarica, and the issue of whether to
require a library card has come up. Thanks for any help you can give us.
