Hello -

I am pleased to share with you that an electronic guide to the ALA elections has been created.  "Your Guide to the 2012 ALA Elections" can be found via the Election icon on the ALA homepage, or by going to http://tinyurl.com/2012electionguide.  A pdf version of the guide can be found at http://tinyurl.com/2012electionguidepdf.

In this guide you will find information about the two candidates for ALA President-elect and about the 107 candidates for 34 councilor-at-large seats.  Additionally, there is information about actions that the ALA Council took in recent years.

The impetus for the creation of this booklet came from member feedback, which indicated that members have found it difficult to learn about the ALA candidates prior to the election.  It is ALA's hope that this guide will help ALA members become informed voters.
