[OPLINLIST] Upgrading the Calendar for the New Year

I watched a demo of Evanced’s new calendar system, SignUp 
<http://signup.evanced.info>, while it was in development almost 9 
months ago. It looked cool, but I found a couple bugs, and we didn’t see 
reason to be one of the first to upgrade. Since then, Evanced has made a 
lot of progress and, as of yesterday, SWON is now using SignUp. Click

calendar’s new look.

SignUp has a much more modern look than Evanced’s previous version. 
Looks do matter, although it’s sometimes frustrating to admit it. It’s 
not just eye candy, either. Hover your mouse over an event and you can 
read the entire description, including registration details and contact 
information. On the administration side, creating events has been spread 
across several pages, with simplified options. You can even create event 
templates to speed you along.

Since we’re not a library, your implementation would be different from 
ours. Evanced sent us a few links to library calendars that are using 
SignUp, as we prepared for the switchover. You might find them 
interesting, since they organize their events and integrate with their 
websites in different ways.
