The Tuscarawas County Public Library System is seeking a dynamic
professional with a commitment to public service who will assume the role of
branch manager at its Sugarcreek location.

Position:

Branch Manager – Sugarcreek

 

Status: 

Full-time (38 hours/week)

 

Salary:

$12.40/hour

 

Job Responsibilities:  Under the supervision of the Extension & Technical
Services Manager, the branch manager will provide a full range of library
services to branch library customers through direct public service and
effective supervision of branch clerks. Duties include but are not limited
to:

·         Direct public service including reference and reader’s advisory to
patrons

·         Cooperative participation with the Extension & Technical Services
Manager in materials selection, maintenance, weeding, and collection
development

·         Coordination of programming, services, and displays for patrons of
all ages (birth through adult)

·         Promotion of the library within the community

·         Service as a liaison between the library and schools, as well as
other community agencies and organizations

·         Supervision of four (4) part-time library staff, including
efficient scheduling, completion of annual performance evaluations, and
professional coaching/development

·         Compliance with the Tuscarawas County Public Library’s policies
and procedures

Job Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in relevant field

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills

·         Ability to supervise others effectively

·         Experience working with children

·         Ability to work evenings and weekends

Preference will be given to candidates with previous library and/or public
service experience.
