Position:  Director

 

Library/Organization:  New Madison Public Library

 

City:  New Madison

 

Salary Range:  $35,000 - $40,000

 

Requirements:

 

New Madison Public Library is a well-established library serving the
communities of New Madison, Hollansburg, and Palestine, Ohio.  The library
operates with an annual budget of approximately $350,000 and a staff of 5
FTE's.

 

The Board of Trustees is seeking an energetic and team-oriented leader to
assume the responsibilities of Director. The successful candidate should
have three years of library experience and must demonstrate strong and
effective leadership, communication, and technical skills. Requisite
knowledge and skills are necessary in the areas progressive library
management, public relations and community outreach, collection development,
and budgeting.

 

The position offers a competitive starting salary and benefits package
commensurate with the candidate's education and experience. A four year
college degree in a library-related field of study is required with a
Masters in Library Science degree preferred.
