[OPLINLIST] Reminder: NewsBank Discount Through OHIONET

Greetings,

As most of you know, OPLIN's subscription to NewsBank will be expiring on
October 31.  Libraries wishing to continue this subscription can purchase
either the America's News package or individual newspaper titles for
discounted pricing through OHIONET.

With 85% of sources not found in other public library resources, America's
News provides unique access to the full text electronic edition of over
2,100 local, regional and national news sources, featuring 50 titles from
the state of Ohio.  You can find a customized tutorial and more information

Public libraries that commit to the new offerings by October 31, 2013 will
have no interruption in their access throughout 2013. They will continue on
a January/December subscription period, with the next renewal at January 1,
2015.

Public libraries that do not commit to a purchase by October 31, 2013 will
no longer have access after that time.

If your library has already agreed to a purchase directly or are currently
communicating with NewsBank, please know that they are working closely with
OHIONET to make sure that discounted pricing is in place.
