Registration for the November 14th Ohio Digitization Interest Group
meeting is now open! 

 

Please join us for our discussion group meeting which will include a
presentation on the Technical Aspects of Newspaper Digitization by:

Jenni Salamon & Kevin Latta of the OHS National Digital Newspaper

- Date: Thursday, November 14, 2013, 10 am-1 pm 

 

- Location: Ohio Historical Society, 3rd Floor, Columbus 

 

- Hosts: Jillian Carney (jcarney at ohiohistory.org) & Lily Birkhimer

- Cost: There is no fee for attending. 

 

- Food: Coffee & cookies will be offered at the start of the meeting.
Lunch will be brown bag. A limited selection of vending machines
available on site, and there is usually a food truck at OHS on
Thursdays. 

 

Agenda: 

- 10-10:30 coffee social; 

- 10:30-11:30 presentation & discussion on topic (technical aspects of
newspaper digitization)

- 11:30-11:45 break 

- 11:45-1pm brown bag lunch: all-attendee updates, "members" meeting,
discussion

- Parking is free, no pass needed.

About OhioDIG: The Ohio Digitization Interest Group is an informal
discussion group open to those with an interest in digitization in the
archives/library/museum/historical society world. The group has been on
hiatus for a few years, but we plan to follow this November meeting with
every other month meetings in central Ohio.
