The 2014 Ohio Summer Reading Program Evaluation report is now available.

In 2014, nearly 450,000 people enrolled in Ohio library summer reading programs. Attendance at special summer library events was over 839,000 statewide.

For the first time, a video summary has been produced for libraries to share with their communities and decision-makers. All are welcome to link to or embed the video, "Ohio Public Libraries and Summer Reading 2014<https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1mVleWHUAuE>," on your library websites, social media, newsletters, etc.

Children who participate in summer library programs benefit from the many literacy-related activities offered, aiding significantly in literacy development.  Summer library programs for all ages enhance lifelong learning, and promote the enjoyment of books and other library resources.  Many thanks to all Ohio public libraries for your great work to engage Ohio's kids and families, during the summer and throughout the year.
