[OPLINLIST] Newspaper Holdings

Hello all,
Hope you are thawing out. Okay, so here is my issue: I consider everything
I have on my shelf a part of our collection. That being said, we have many
holdings that are not counted and should be. We have newspapers for "in
house" use only that we have not counted as "holdings", yet they ARE
holdings. We are using Polaris as our automation system. I want to find a
way to enter each newspaper title, ie: USA Today and then assign a short
record for EACH issue we receive, because they are part of our collection,
right? Curious to hear what you have to say, because if we, as a body of
public library service in Ohio, are not counting our newspapers, then we
are not fully counting our "holdings".
What say you?
