[OPLINLIST] booksale

I know that many of our libraries have book sales, but I wanted to list
Reed's sale as an opportunity for smaller libraries to add recent best
selling titles at no cost.  I can't send a list of titles because there are
thousands (yes--thousands).

Our Friends group has a huge semi-annual booksale.  Some items are
withdrawn from the Reed collection, but most are donations from individuals
or other libraries.

The sale begins for the general public on Friday March 14 (hardback titles
are 50 cents), but the date to remember is Sunday, March 16.  That is the
"free" day for nonprofit organizations.  Bring your library business card
(or letterhead) and fill up your vehicle with treasures for your library
collection.  [I'm working on Sunday so iff you need to check your catalog,
stop and see me and I'll loan you a tablet to get on the wifi]

I'm not kidding -- there's good stuff there.  We didn't add it to our
collection because we are fortunate enough to have it already.
