Recently we alerted you about two crucial "Dear Colleague" letters making rounds in the U.S. House of Representatives. Now it's time for library supporters to ask their U.S Senators to support these two letters.<http://capwiz.com/ala/utr/1/NPCKTRYFMK/CLVKTSCCOU/10237844781>

-One letter supports funding for the Library Services and Technology Act (LSTA) in FY15. LSTA is the primary source of funding for libraries in the federal budget.

-The other letter supports funding for the Innovative Approaches to Literacy Grant in FY15. This grant is crucial because at least half of it would go to low-income school libraries to help update their books and materials.

For more information and talking points visit the Legislative Action Center (LAC).<http://capwiz.com/ala/utr/1/NPCKTRYFMK/BWNQTSCCOV/10237844781> You can also find a list of last year's signatories for both letters on the LAC.

Check back on the LAC within the next week for an updated list on who has signed the letters for FY15. Thanks for supporting libraries!
