[OPLINLIST] Book clubs for tweens

I'd like to hear helpful suggestions from libraries who have specific tween clubs. We recently tried this; the first with some success and the second meeting a total disaster. The attendees were all girls ages 10-12; we limited the time to one hour. The discussion took about 15 minutes then we lost them.

Looking for what others do during their discussions, especially if you're a small library. Our average attendance is about 8.
