*Please pardon cross-postings.*

Although successful collaborative programs between school and public
libraries are not as common as library professionals might think, those
students and librarians who are fortunate enough to participate in
substantive collaborative programming are reaping significant benefits. At
a time when resources are limited and so many demands are placed upon our
time and attention, reaching out and helping one another only makes sense.
After all, we work with the same students within the same community.

The editor of the Ohio Media Spectrum Journal is currently accepting
previously unpublished submissions to the 2014 issue from librarians,
graduate and professional students, faculty and practitioners involved
with, or of interest to, school libraries on this topic. We are looking for
articles about

   - the philosophy of collaboration;
   - how to initiate, organize, and manage substantive collaborative
   programming that enhances the programs of each collaborating library;
   - how to evaluate programming to ensure it is meeting the needs of the
   various stakeholders and modify it as necessary;
   - how to garner the support of administration/management; and
   - specific examples of successful collaboration.
