[OPLINLIST] Kirstin Krumsee promoted to Government Information Library Consultant

[cid:image002.jpg at 01CF6938.36472130]The State Library of Ohio is pleased to announce that Kirstin Krumsee<mailto:kkrumsee at library.ohio.gov> has been promoted to Government Information Library Consultant. Kirstin will coordinate and maintain all aspects of the Government Documents program at the State Library, Ohio's only full regional federal depository, as well as assist Ohio libraries and librarians to understand and effectively leverage government information and data.

Kirstin has been a Reference Services Librarian specializing in electronic resources at the State Library of Ohio since November 2011. She has participated in outreach and library services to state government including the development of instructional materials, and presentations for learning to use library resources. An emerging leader, Kirstin was selected and will be participating in Library Leadership Ohio 2014 this summer. She was also selected to participate and completed ILEAD USA Ohio<http://www.webjunction.org/partners/illinois/il-programs/ileadusa/ilead-usa-ohio.html> 2013, an immersive one-year continuing education program that develops library leaders through projects based on community needs using technology.

She is an active member of the Ohio Government Documents Roundtable<http://ohiogodort.org/> (GODORT) and recently contributed to the planning and selection of federal and state government documents on display now at the Ohio Statehouse.

Kirstin has a Master's degree in Library and Information Science from Kent State University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Ohio State University.

Prior to joining the State Library, Kirstin worked in public and special libraries including the Upper Arlington Public Library, the Ohioana Library and as Information Services Librarian for the Edison Welding Institute.
