RE: Regular Operations to Resume 

Swanton, Ohio – The Swanton Public Library will reopen to the public for regular operations at 10 a.m. on Friday, February 27, 2015. Crews continue to clean and repair damage resulting from a capped water line that froze and broke on Saturday, February 21, 2015. The general collection was not affected. Primary damage occurred in staff working areas. 

Makeshift staff spaces have been created while the workroom continues to be repaired. All fines will be waived until the library reopens. 

Regular hours for the Library are Monday through Thursday 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday & Saturday 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and from October through April on Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. 

The Swanton Public Library Staff and Board of Trustees extend their gratitude to the community’s support and understanding while this issue is resolved.
