Overview of myE-Verify Webinar for Public Librarians

USCIS-IMLS webinar scheduled for July 2

Washington, DC—The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) will offer another webinar in their series for public librarians about immigration and U.S. citizenship topics.

The webinar, Overview of myE-Verify, will explore a new online service<http://www.idevmail.net/link.aspx?l=1&d=73&mid=333822&m=2694> for the general public. Representatives from USCIS will provide an overview of how librarians can help their customers use the service to:

  *   Confirm their work eligibility with Self Check<http://www.idevmail.net/link.aspx?l=2&d=73&mid=333822&m=2694>
  *   Create a myE-Verify account
  *   Protect their Social Security number in E-Verify with Self Lock<http://www.idevmail.net/link.aspx?l=3&d=73&mid=333822&m=2694>
  *   Access myResources<http://www.idevmail.net/link.aspx?l=4&d=73&mid=333822&m=2694>, a multimedia resource center to learn about their rights and their employer’s responsibilities.

Date and Time: Thursday, July 2, from 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. EDT

To Register:

  *   Go to the USCIS registration page<https://public.govdelivery.com/accounts/USDHSCISINVITE/subscriber/new?topic_id=USDHSCISINVITE_149>,
  *   Enter your email address and select “Submit,”
  *   Select “Subscriber Preferences,”
  *   Select the “Event Registration” tab,
  *   Be sure to provide your full name and organization, and
  *   Complete the questions and select “Submit.”

Once your registration is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with additional details. If you do not receive a confirmation email within two business days, please email USCIS at Public.Engagement at uscis.dhs.gov<mailto:Public.Engagement at uscis.dhs.gov>.
