The keynote speaker this year is David H. Michels, M.L.I.S., Ph.D., Head of Public Services, Sir James Dunn Law Library, Dalhousie University, Halifax, Nova Scotia, author of the blog “Informing Faith.”

Dr. Michels will speak on "Transforming Religion in the Information Age": New information technologies are increasingly being adopted by religious organizations to support worship, instruction, communication, and engagement with the wider community. How does their use transform the nature of social interactions and religious community — “koinonia” — and where are these changes taking us in the information age?

Under the conference theme "New Technologies and Religious Communities," you'll hear presentations on
