My apologies - I'm typing on a small device while trying to participate in a meeting, but that's no excuse for misspelling the name of David Macaulay.

Best,

Janet

Subject: Announcing CSLP 2017 illustrators, 2018 slogan, 2019 theme

Please excuse duplication.

I'm happy to announce that David Macauley is the illustrator for the children's and early literacy artwork supporting the 2017 Collaborative Summer Library Program, "Build a Better World". Scott Sosebee, an illustrator who has worked with Disney and Hyperion, is the artist for the teen "Build a Better World" program. Larry Jones, who has worked on several CSLP adult programs, has created the art for the adult "Build a Better World" program.

The 2018 CSLP program on the theme of Music will feature a single slogan across age groups: "Libraries Rock!"

The 2019 CSLP program will take the general theme of Space. 2019 is the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing.

MANY thanks to everyone who submitted input via yesterday's survey. The majority of Ohio respondents favor a single slogan across age groups. "Libraries Rock!" was the favorite overall and (by a landslide) for teens, though many respondents favored "Shake, Rattle, and Read" for children and "All You Need Is Books" for adults.

I'm pleased that the decisions reached by the CSLP with input from all participating states and territories aligned so well with the majority of Ohio respondents.

Sincerely,

Janet
