Hi Heidi,

I don't know if your devices permit this or not, but I did want to mention that many of the newer smart TVs have their own embedded "operating system" onboard which may allow them to play content from a removable storage device (like a USB drive) or even from across the network.  No other devices involved.

Here is a good overview of some of the options/considerations for digital signage in libraries.  You might already be beyond this stage, but I thought it worth sharing anyways.

With the help of a grant we have received 2 samsung smart tvs to be used as digital signage... that being said, trying to get them to be used as digital signage is rather cumbersome.  Does anyone have any recommendations, programs, or helpful advice?
