LIBRARY DIRECTOR - BRANCH DISTRICT LIBRARY, SOUTH-CENTRAL MICHIGAN

                                                                           

Manage six unique libraries as a single, unified system in South Central
Michigan! The Branch District Library Board of Trustees seeks a progressive
and original leader who can and will capitalize on the Library's 2015
millage success and create a sound forward-thinking plan for the Library's
future. The Library staff (37 employees,  23 FTE) serves the 46,905 citizens
of Branch County and Allen Township in Hillsdale County with a $1.6 million

Qualifications. Minimum qualifications include a Master's Degree in Library
Science from an ALA-accredited program; four years of experience as an
administrator/director or as a department head for a public library (or
equivalent); and the ability to obtain and retain Michigan Certification
Level 1. Successful experience as a library director reporting to a
governing board, experience leading and implementing a strategic planning
process and experience with a successful millage campaign are highly
desirable.

 

Compensation.  The salary range is $70,000 to $82,000 (with placement
dependent upon experience and qualifications) with an attractive benefits
package.
