HEAD OF YOUTH SERVICES



The Hudson Library and Historical Society, a 5-Star Library, is seeking a highly-motivated, innovative, collaborative and service oriented professional to lead a very busy and growing Youth Services Department. The ideal candidate must have a strong commitment to customer service; be able to lead as well as work effectively as part of a team; have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; the ability to prepare statistical data and budgets; demonstrated ability with online media, services and software; and the ability to develop and implement dynamic library programming and outreach. A thorough knowledge of Children's and YA literature is required along with a vision of the changing needs of library users.



Qualifications:

  *   Master's Degree in Library/Information Science accredited by the American Library Association
  *   3+ years of progressively responsible supervisory experience and/or project management
  *   Knowledgeable about emerging technology trends
  *   Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; some HTML is a plus



Salary and Benefits:



Salary - $43,500.00 with a comprehensive benefits package.
