Please join us in honoring Susan Pittman, Library Director at St. Marys 
Community Public Library, on her retirement.

There will be an Open House on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, from 4:00 
p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the St.
Marys Community Public Library meeting room.

Sue has served at the library for 30 years--as Youth Services
Coordinator from 1986-1999; as Assistant Director in 2000; and as
Director from 2001 to 2016.

Under Sue's leadership, the library grew to nearly twice its original
size, adding a Local History and Genealogy Room, a computer lab, and a
meeting room with seating for up to 80 and including a kitchenette. Sue
successfully steered the library through the very difficult budget cuts
of 2009. Serving on the St. Marys Rotary Club Literacy Committee since
2003, Sue wrote and administered many grants, raising funds for the
library and creating many partnerships within the community. We wish her
all the best in retirement!
