In honor of the 15th anniversary of September 11th, Stark County District Library is hosting a night you won't want to miss! New York Times bestselling author and 9/11 survivor Michael Hingson is the premiere speaker for the new Dr. Audrey Lavin Speaking of Books Author Series debuting September 14th. He will be sharing the story of his escape from the 78th floor of the World Trade Center and the circumstances that led him to be there. This event is free and open to the public:

Who
Michael Hingson, 9/11 survivor and bestselling author of Thunder Dog. Michael is now a world renowned speaker and social advocate.

What
Blind since birth, Michael Hingson narrowly escaped from the 78th floor of WTC 1 as the towers fell around him thanks to his unwavering trust in his guide dog, Roselle. He joins us to give his incredible, true account of that day's harrowing events and a trust that led him to escape against all odds.  After his discussion, there will be a Q&A session and book signing.

The event will be held at the Canton Palace Theatre, next door to the Main Library in downtown Canton, Ohio. With 1480 seats, there's plenty of room for everyone.
