[OPLINLIST] Dover StoryWalk(R) Project

The Dover Public Library invites people of all ages to celebrate the
opening of its permanent StoryWalk® installation at Dover City Park. This
free event will take place on Saturday, October 8, at 10:00am at the Dover
Rotary Pavilion (near the pond) at Dover City Park. Refreshments will be
provided by the Dover Rotary.

StoryWalk®, which was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, Vermont with
the help of Rachel Senechal of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library, is an
innovative way to incorporate physical exercise with literacy. Permanent
display posts will be installed along the pond trail at Dover City Park. As
participants walk counter-clockwise around the pond, they will be presented
with storybook pages, having the opportunity to read an entire picture book
by the time they are full-circle.

Children's author and illustrator, Will Hillenbrand, will be at the event
to sign copies of our first StoryWalk® title, *Sneeze, Big Bear,
Sneeze! *(illustrated
by Hillenbrand). This and other Hillenbrand titles will be available for
purchase on a first-come, first-served basis; cash and checks will be
accepted.

The Dover City Park is located next to the Park and Recreation Office,
located at 2421 N. Wooster Ave in Dover, Ohio. Please contact the Dover
